Sons Of The Pioneers MP3 Songs
Psalm 19 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”
GOD Speaks
GOD speaks in the stillness of the night, GOD speaks in the day so warm and bright.
The flaming sunset paints the sky and sets the clounds ablaze.
GOD speaks in the mountains and the plains,
in the scent of autumn rains,
In mighty rivers rushing in their haste to reach the sea,
GOD speaks to you and me.
How can we feel alone with him so near?
Lift up your heart, he'll see and hear,
when things go wrong and no one seems to care,
just look around He's everywhere.
GOD speaks
in the whiteness of the snow,
he speaks and the flowers begin to grow.
His voice is heard in chapel bells and in the peaceful night,
GOD speaks in every heart that loves.
GOD speaks
In the mountains and the plains,
he speaks in the scent of autumn rains,
in the mighty rivers rushing in their haste to reach the sea,
GOD SPEAKS TO YOU AND ME.
COOL CLEAR WATER (Sons Of The Pioneers)
When Bob Nolan, the Master of Cowboy Americana, was conjuring up this immortal image of an old prospector and Dan the mule (or of a lost and nameless rider and Dan, his horse) struggling in the blistering desert, tortured by mirages and the Devil himself, dreaming of heaven and calling out for "water, water, cool water", the water he was seeing in his mind's eye was Jesus.
"Cool Clear Water" is a salvation message.
Sung by Festus (Ken Curtis) Leonard Slye (Roy Rogers) And Sons Of The Pioneers
Cool Water
(Bob Nolan)
All day I’ve faced a barren waste
Without the taste of water, cool water.
Old Dan and I with throats burnt dry
And souls that cry for water,
Cool, clear water.
Keep a-movin’, Dan, don’t you listen to him, Dan,
He’s a devil not a man
And he spreads the burning sand with water,
Cool water.
Dan, can you see that big green tree
Where the water’s running free
And it’s waiting there for me
And you?
The nights are cool and I’m a fool,
Each star’s a pool of water, cool water.
But with the dawn I’ll wake and yawn
And carry on to water,
Cool, clear water.
Keep a-movin’, Dan, don’t you listen to him, Dan,
He’s a devil not a man
And he spreads the burning sand with water,
Cool water.
Dan, can you see that big green tree
Where the water’s running free
And it’s waiting there for me
And you?
The shadows sway and seem to say,
“Tonight we pray for water,
Cool water.”
And ‘way up there He’ll hear our pray’r
And show us where there’s water,
Cool, clear water.
Keep a-movin’, Dan, don’t you listen to him, Dan,
He’s a devil not a man
And he spreads the burning sand with water,
Cool water.
Dan, can you see that big green tree
Where the water’s running free
And it’s waiting there for me
And you?
Dan’s feet are sore, he’s yearning for
Just one thing more than water,
Cool water.
Like me, I guess, he’d like to rest
Where there’s no quest for water,
Cool, clear water.
Keep a-movin’, Dan, don’t you listen to him, Dan,
He’s a devil not a man
And he spreads the burning sand with water,
Cool water.
Dan, can you see that big green tree
Where the water’s running free
And it’s waiting there for me
And you?
